Thanks to all who entered our EASTER COLOURING IN COMPETITION.
We had a huge response with some sensational entries. Our foyers always
spring to life with the children's imaginative creations, pity they have to come
down, eventually! Now for our list of State Swim Gift Voucher recipients.
It's not winners as such but just a few that shone more brightly. You can
see them below in this month's newsletter.

SWIMMER OF THE MONTH

Emily Gibbs is our Swimmer Of The Month.
Emily has recieved this for achieving
wonderful times and improving on htechnique, well done Emily!
A special mention goes to
Mackenzie McCrory (pictured below) who
has been promoted to Team Silver for
smashing all of his past times. Mackenzie has improved so much in the last
week and continues to get his legs to keep kicking.
Thiargo Brando (pictured at top of newsletter)is another high achieving
Team Bronze member who has moved up to Team Silver.
Thiargo was promoted once he met all the criteria plus for displaying a
wonderful butterfly technique many of you should aspire to.
INTERSCHOOL CARNIVAL
Get ready for it, just one month to go until the Interschool Carnival is
held on Sunday 17th May. Mark it on your calendar and prepare to represent
Joondalup Swimming School by applying those hard earned skills, technique
and your fitness against the other State Swim swimming schools.
Supporters are very welcome but must 'raise your voices' as cheering
is a prerequisite. You could also don your Team's colour- Black.
For our northern State Swim Swimming Schools, you will go to
Joondalup Swimming School at 6 Buick Way, Joondalup.
Warm up is an 12noon, with the competition commencing at 12.30pm.
Order of events:
100m freestyle
50m butterfly
50m backstroke
50m breastroke
50m sreestyle
100m individual medley
There are a maximum of three events per swimmer.
The age groups are as follows:
8yrs and under, 9yrs, 10yrs, 11 & 12yrs, 13yrs and over.
Entry slips will be available from your coaching staff and
entries close on Friday 8th May
Come along and enjoy a fantastic event and support the kids.

HEALTH & SPORT NEWS
Congratualtions to Roy Hayes of Team Bronze for leading his interschool
Team to 1st place. Also for winning a 1st place ribbon in his single race and a
couple of 2nd place ribbons. Excellent work Roy, keep up the great swimming.
Well done to everyone who placed 1st, 2nd and 3rd at their school carnivals
recently. We have had many of you telling us how you went and we would love
to hear how everyone else placed as well.
On Thursday 26th of March Super Swim, every single Health & Sport Team
member who participated beat all their personal best times. This is an
amazing effort and just goes to show the training and your dedication pays off.
Excellent work Teams!
Our next Super Swim will be held on Tuesday 28th April. All Team members
and 400 Gold swimmers are encouraged to attend.
